Attention Parents: Are you interested in having your Kindergarten child attend one of our three choice schools? Please see below to learn about this process.

Understanding how it works:

There are three choice schools in the Paterson Public School district that a parent can choose from for their Kindergarten child:

1. Alexander Hamilton Academy – Located at 11-27 16^th Ave
2. Norman S. Weir – Located at 152 College Blvd.
3. School #1- Located at 1 East 32^nd Street

• • Application available via the Google Form link beginning in February.
  • A lottery will be conducted in March. The parent will be notified if their child has received a seat. Parents whose children were not accepted will be placed on a waitlist.

Accepted Students:

Parents must confirm that they are accepting the seat at the school and schedule an appointment.

Waitlisted Student:

If a seat becomes available, the parent will be notified and asked to confirm their interest in taking the seat.
