SEL: Self Care

  • Self Care Calendar

Good morning PPS, Hello April 2024!

“The greatest journey is the one of self-discovery. ”

As we recognized in March, April continues with the feelings of rebirth, renewal and the blossoming of new life.  As nature awakens with warmer days (be sure to enjoy the 75 degree afternoon!), we close the winter season, inviting hope, growth and the emergence of new beginnings, just as the trees and flowers begin to show us their buds.  Change brings a great time to be introspective and focus on what we need.  By questioning and examining our thoughts, actions, and beliefs, we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and can strive for personal growth and a more fulfilling existence.

Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, improve concentration, minimize frustration and anger, increase happiness, improve energy, and more.  The Self-Care Calendar is meant to provide ideas and affirmations for those who need that little extra reminder to show a little love for themselves each day.

    Mantra for April:

My growth is a continuous process and I’m loving the person that I am becoming.
