Dress Code Policy

  • Please be reminded that, per PPS district Policy 4216 "Dress and Grooming", all staff are required to dress in a professional manner while at work, especially if they will be dealing with the public in person.

    Use your own judgment and err on the side of caution, keeping in mind that the following attire is not permitted during the school year or the summer months:

    • Jeans (of any color), Baggy Pants, Sweatpants, Stretch-pants, Shorts or Skorts
    • Sneakers, Flipflops
    • T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, or Athletic Wear
    • Clothing that are tightfitting, see-through, low-cut or otherwise overly revealing

    Good morning PPS, Happy New Year and Hello February 2024!


    “The first step in crafting the life you want is to get rid of everything you don’t”

    February comes from the Latin word februa, which means “to cleanse.” The month was named after the Roman Februalia, which was a month-long festival of purification and atonement that took place this time of year.  After a busy start to the year, it’s time for us to stop, breathe, focus, and speed up our body and mind.

    Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, improve concentration, minimize frustration and anger, increase happiness, improve energy, and more. It is important for us to stop, take a breath, and remember that we must take care of ourselves if we want to continue to help others.  The Self-Care Calendar is meant to provide ideas and affirmations for those who need that little extra reminder to show a little love for themselves each day.

    Mantra for February:

    I overcome every challenge I’m faced with and learn the lessons necessary to help me move forward. 

    I am proud of myself for doing my best every step of the way.

    Monthly Sunshine provides bite-sized doses of inspiration contain powerful messages and take less than a minute to read yet have the ability to light up the day, touch a life, evoke change and end limited beliefs.
