SEL: Self Care
Good morning PPS and Hello February 2023!
February comes from the Latin word februa, which means “to cleanse.” The month was named after the Roman Februalia, which was a month-long festival of purification and atonement that took place this time of year. After a busy start to the year, it’s time for us to focus and clean up our body and mind.
Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, improve concentration, minimize frustration and anger, increase happiness, improve energy, and more. The Self-Care Calendar is meant to provide ideas and affirmations for those who need that little extra reminder to show a little love for themselves each day.
Mantra for February: I am becoming. I am becoming the person I want to be. Each day, I work to make myself more of the person I want to be.
