PATERSON – As part of their continuous recruiting efforts, district officials have scheduled a Teachers’ Career Fair for Wednesday, February 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“There has never been a better time to teach at Paterson Public Schools,” said Superintendent of Schools Eileen F. Shafer. “We are a dynamic district of 45 schools in a diverse community where a teacher can make an enormous difference in the lives of our students. Even if you are happy in your current position as a certified teacher, we invite you to come and learn about the many opportunities available at Paterson Public Schools at our upcoming career fair.”

The district is continuing to offer $7,500 pre-employment agreements to new teachers, with $3,750 to be paid by June 30th and $3,750 to be paid by December 31st. Last week, the district and the Paterson Education Association reached a temporary memorandum of agreement, a major step toward a new five-year contract.
