May 18, 2023 - District Student-Athletes Become Medalists In Area Special Olympics Competition
Student-athletes from the Dr. Hani Awadallah School (DHA), Alexander Hamilton Academy (AHA), and John F. Kennedy High School (KHS) won medals at the recent area Special Olympics Track & Field competition. The 34 medalists will compete in the 2023 NJ State Summer Games at The College of New Jersey on June 9th through June 11th.

In a continuing trend of district students gaining acceptance to many of the nation's elite colleges and universities, Paterson Public Schools officials announced today that Eastside High School senior Paris Higgs has been accepted to Howard University. Higgs will be the first in her family to go to college. She intends to major in biology with her sights on medical school.

Among the activities that were held throughout the building were a cultural variety show, a food buffet that featured the variety of cultures at the school, and a Cultural Showroom where students visited grade-specific groups to see cultural items from all over the world.
