Project Child Find

Graduation Ceremony

Project Child Find is a free referral service and public awareness campaign aimed at assisting in the identification of unserved and underserved youth, from birth through 21 years of age, who may have developmental delays or disabilities. It helps families connect with appropriate services and supports for their children, promoting early intervention and special education services.

How Project Child Find Can Help:

  1. Infants and Toddlers (Birth–2 Years): Families concerned about their child's development can be referred to their local Special Child Health Case Management Unit for early intervention services.

    • 📞 Project Child Find: 1-800-322-8174

  2. Preschoolers (Ages 3–5): If your child is aged 3-5 and you are concerned about their development, Project Child Find will direct you to your local school district for assistance and evaluation.

  3. School-Aged Children (Ages 6–21): Project Child Find helps identify unserved children who need special education services, ensuring they receive the support they need through the local school district.

  4. Community Services: Project Child Find also helps families access community services and provides public awareness about disabilities and special education programs.
