The Department of Health and Physical Education promotes the district’s mission statement as leaders in educating today’s youth. Our mission is to educate students to develop a healthy lifestyle which encompasses the physical, mental and emotional aspects of life. Health and Physical education aims to build a strong body’s and healthy minds.

We envision a society which enjoys a quality of life through participation in vigorous activities and a health-promoting life-style. Today’s students will obtain knowledge that can be integrated into a myriad of activities and contribute extensively to their physical development, wellness and recreational future.

Health and Physical Education intends to develop educated individuals by encouraging, empowering, and engaging students to achieve their personal best in academics in order to prepare them for college and toward the pursuit of a healthy and active lifestyle. It is our goal to create a community of lifelong learners with the support of all stakeholders a responsibility to develop future leaders, role models with an ongoing respect for a healthy life style.
