Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Pathways
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are designed to prepare students for high-demand, high-wage careers or further education by blending rigorous academics, technical skill-building, and applied, real-world learning. These programs typically follow a structured sequence of courses, culminating in industry-recognized credentials or postsecondary credit.
Anchored by industry advisory boards and integrated with career-relevant student organizations (CTSOs)—such as FBLA, DECA, SkillsUSA, HOSA, TSA, and FFA—CTE fosters leadership and industry engagement. Students benefit from hands-on experiences, work-based learning, and clear pathways to college, careers, or certification. The programs also develop critical 21st-century skills: collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology literacy.
CTE is not just education; it's a bridge to personal and professional success—empowering students to become skilled workers, thoughtful citizens, and leaders in a global economy.
