Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Career and Technical Education, or “CTE”, are programs that offer academic and career-oriented courses in a given industry or career cluster, targeted at preparing students for high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand positions.   Courses have an emphasis on 21st Century skills, which translate to the job site, as well as a collegiate classroom.

High School Choice

School Choice allows for all eighth-grade or newly entering students the flexibility of selecting from any of Paterson Public Schools pathways offerings based upon their personal areas of interest.

Credit Recovery Schedule

Credit recovery is an educational program or process that allows students who have failed or not completed a course to retake it—or a modified version of it—in order to earn the academic credit they need for graduation
