I would like to introduce myself as the principal of School #19. It is a great honor for me to be the leader of this school and to serve you and your children.
I have a long history with School #19. I served as a teacher here from 1976 to 1987. I taught kindergarten, third, fourth, and fifth grades during my time here. I left in 1987 to have my second child who is now 27 years old. This is my 45th year in the Paterson Public Schools. I taught for 22 years in grades k-5 in schools 11, 25, 9,, and 19, before being appointed as a Vice Principal at School 21. I served there for 11 years; and then was appointed Principal of BUILD Academy and Dr. Frank Napier Academy.
The joy I feel when I walk into School 19 cannot be adequately explained. It is my dream- come- true. So, I am here for you. Please know that your children are always my first priority.
Our mission at School #19 is to increase and maximize the academic and social development of every child in the school. We must prepare your child to be successful in the institution of higher education of his/her choosing, or in his/her chosen profession. Learning is our first priority at School #19; however, we will enjoy celebrations and “Special Days” throughout the year to motivate your child to enjoy school. Our community is special; our school is unique. Although the building is over 100 years old, we take pride in keeping it clean, neat, and well-preserved. All areas are restored and refurbished as needed.
You are welcome to visit. Please feel free to call me. Please come to our Home-School Council Meetings, which will be held monthly in the school Cafeteria.
I look forward to a wonderful future at School 19.
