PATERSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS ANNOUNCES
EXTENDED HOURS, NEW LOCATION FOR STUDENT REGISTRATION

Evening hours and extra staffing between August 24 September 11

PATERSON- AUGUST 18 –  To encourage and simplify early registration, Paterson Public Schools is offering special extended hours for new kindergarten through eighth grade students in the district.
Beginning Monday, August 24, parents and guardians may register their children at the Board of Education offices, 90 Delaware Avenue between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays (other than September 1) and Thursdays, hours are extended from 9 am until 7 pm. Please note that the registration office will be closed on Tuesday, September 1, and special hours will cease as of Friday, September 11.
Parents or guardians must bring along the following documents: the child’s birth certificate and or passport, a Social Security card (if there is one) as well as two documents citing proof of residency. Suitable proof of residency includes recent utility bill(s) and renters’ lease agreements. The child’s immunization records are required as well as transfer records from any other school district attended.
New and transferring students, grades 9-12 should register at their neighborhood high school, either John F. Kennedy or Eastside.
